Larry and I shared a dorm room at Drake University our freshman year. We both got into computer science while at Drake. Some years later my father and Larry's were both staying at Scottish Rite Park in Des Moines. Unfortunately I was unable to connect with Larry at that time. I have spent many hours looking for Larry. Sorry to find out he has passed away. Larry worked with Ken Kaplin at Microwave Technology developing some very solid systems. At one point Microsoft attempted to purchase Ken and Larry's company. Ken said "It was pretty tempting". The L.A. Times posted an extended posting 1994-10-5. I believe it was Larry that attempted to get me to start computing by way of a TTY at Rosevelt connected to a computer at the school system offices.

"Oct 5, 1994Interactive TV is by far Microware's biggest opportunity since Kaplan and friend Larry Crane started the firm in 1977 when they were students at Drake University"
